St Monica’s GAA Club Weekly Notes:

Well done to everyone who lined out for St Monica’s GAA club last weekend. 

Our AFL 11 team, Minor and U16 girls all had comprehensive wins over their opponents all three teams remain unbeaten in their respective league campaigns. We also had great displays from our boys U8’s, girls U11’s while our AFL 4 team were unlucky to lose out to St Marks by just two points. Congratulations also to St Eithnes schools team on their win over Darndale GNS on Friday last.

There was no winner of our club lotto draw for Thursday March 11th numbers drawn out were 3-6-13 the Jackpot was valued at €1650 NOTE: As St Patrick's day is next Thursday March 17th our lotto draw will move to Friday the 18th. Reminder that lotto tickets for next week's draw can be purchased from our club-house. 

St Monica's GAA clubhouse will open from 12:00 noon until close from Tuesday the 15th of March until Friday March 18th to facilitate members who wish to view the Cheltenham Race festival. On March 17th St Patrick's day, we will have musical entertainment from 5-10pm with DJ Robert. 

Our annual Easter camp will take place from March 21st to 23rd. Similar to previous years our camp will be split into two categories Senior and Junior. Senior Camp €25 (Children 8-13 years, 10am to 2pm); Junior Camp €15 (Children 5-7 years, 10am to 12.30pm) Additional younger sibling €10. Application forms will be available shortly from all juvenile team mentors, from our clubhouse and can be downloaded NOW from our website.  

GIRL'S Gaelic football academy continues THIS Saturday March 12th for girls aged 7-10 years of age. The girls will be taught the skills of Gaelic football in a fun and friendly environment. Children are welcome to try our sport of Gaelic football for an initial fee of just €2 a week. After 6 weeks the girls will be given the option of joining our club. So there is no pressure on parents to buy gear, football boots etc. until they are assured their child wishes to continuing playing Gaelic football. The coaching session gets underway on Saturday at 11am in St Monica's Youth Centre hall finishing up at 12:00 noon. For more information you can contact Patricia Monahan 087-6128368.
