St Monica’s GAA Club Weekly Notes:

What a weekend for our small but extremley proud club as we gathered together to honour, celebrate and reward our young stars of 2015. 

First up on Saturday was our Juvenile Girls award ceremony we were delighted to have Dublin All-star Sinead Finnegan as our guest of honour. Sinead presented all the girls with their medals including the U13 team with their shield runner up medals and the highlight of the day was the presentation of the championship medals to our victorious U16 team. 

Congratulations to all our Juvenile girls award winners: U10 Rising Star Award Saoirse Bird, U10 Footballer of the Year 2015 Jessica Rooney, U11 Rising Star Award Izehiunia Wilserhun, U11 Footballer of the Year 2015 Maria Lidia Flores, U13 Rising Star Award Lauren Tatenhorst, U13 Footballer of the Year 2015 Omorobiye Wilserhun, U16 Players Player of the Year Jemma Lynch, U16 Footballer of the Year 2015 Naomi Leonard. 

On Sunday it was the turn of our boys with guest of honour 1995 All Ireland winner and All Star Vinnie Murphy plus we were delighted to have Sam Maguire with us for our event. 

Again Congratulations to all our Juvenile boy’s award winners: U8 Most Improved Player Ryan Knowd, U8 Footballer of the Year Scott Murray, U11 Most Improved Player Jake Knowd, U11 Footballer of the Year Kieran Byrne, U12 Most Improved Player Gerard Corrigan, U12 Footballer of the Year Kieron Curly, U12 Most Improved Hurler of the Year Ryan Tormey, U12 Hurler of the Year Jack Lynch, U14 Most Improved Player Tommy Whelan and U14 Footballer of the Year Craig Fannin. 

Special recognition awards were presented to Megan Colman and Killian Foran for representing St Monica’s on the Dublin at U14 Inter County level in 2015. Vinnie Murphy was also delighted to present our U12 footballers with their league winner’s medals. 

There was no winner of our club lotto draw for Thursday Dec 3rd the numbers drawn out were 6-21-22 and the Jackpot was valued at €550. A reminder that lotto tickets for next Thursday's draw which is the last draw of 2015 can be purchased each evening from 5pm from our clubhouse and at the weekends from 12 noon.
