JUVENILE GIRLS

GIRLS JUVENILE FOOTBALL

The girls of St Monica’s GAA club have enjoyed tremendous success on the playing field since the juvenile girl section was reformed back in 2009.

In recent years the girls have won various underage league, shield and championship titles. In 2016 our U16 team won the division 3 championship, our minor team were crowned div 4 league winners while our U13 team won div 8 of Feile Atha Cliath before finishing the season as shield championship winners.

Louise Whelan represented Dublin on their U16 team in 2013 winning the Leinster championship only to lose to a strong Cork side in the All- Ireland final. Aislinn Somers and Robyn Whelan won Leinster medals with Dublin at U14 level  in 2014. Megan Colman represented the club on the Dublin U14 panel in 2015 and will represent Dublin again in 2017 at U16 Inter County level.

Numerous players have represented St Monica's on Dublin Underage development Squads.

All our juvenile girls mentors have completed a Ladies Gaelic Football Association Fundamentals coaching course which is certified by Coaching Ireland.

Our club has fully signed up to the GAA Code of Ethics policy while ensuring that all our juvenile mentors are fully Garda vetted.

in 2017 St Monica's will be fielding girls juvenile teams at U12, U14 and minor grades.

Our U14 and U12 girls recently featured in a LGFA promotional video for Gaelic4Girls click on the link to view the video:
